Projections of photo and video documentation of works and their contextualization

In the fire that destroyed nearly seventy thousand hectares of sequoia forest in central California in the summer and fall of 2020, some of which were over two and a half thousand years old, Uta Kogelsberger saw many symptoms of the current state of human civilization. With an artistic project in which she combined the artistically transposed testimonies of the process of devastation of the local ecosystem, which lasted for months, and the actions of collective reforestation and regeneration of the area, she initiated a series of debates about the responsibility of the human factor in the maintenance of a natural environment that corresponds to human needs. With that project, in a much more explicit way, she followed up on a series of her earlier researches of various frameworks in which the relationship between people and their environment is looked at in the age of ecological crisis.
