STORY: Mathieu, a French guy is in love with Ana, a Serbian girl and wants to propose to her in Serbian language. So he decides to learn Serbian language until their anniversary… in a month. It looks impossible ! And crazy ! He is taking private classes in Belgrade with Brankica, a strict and a bit withdrawn and introvert a teacher. Mathieu is open, straightforward and free spirited. They both have different personalities and temperaments… so a lot of comic situations ensue, communication problems, cultural differences and mixture of languages will appear and some emotions will occur.

Why this play ? Because I wanted to write something about Serbian language,what it is really like to learn when we don’t know anything about it and when we come from a different country with a different language. I wanted to share my experience and tease it a bit for the sake of a banter. Because it’s really fun ! I wanted to play with Serbian language too. So I served myself. At the same time, the play is about our comfort zones, especially for the character of Brankica Brankovic, she is a girl who wants to stay home, watch TV with her slippers on and not take any risks in life… and the French guy will unawares help her to go out of her comfort zone, grow, and take good decisions for her life.

Ivona Momirovic (actress): Ivona has successfully got her diploma of acting at the Faculty of Art, University of Pristina, in the class of prof. Jovica Pavic. Next year from that she also graduated from master studies playing the monodrama “Guests”, for which she got a best actress award. She played at Dom kulture Studentski grad, UK Palilula, Zvezdara teatar, Atelje 212 and at Akademija 28 with Love & Padezi where she created the part of Brankica Brankovic.

Arnaud Humbert (actor and writer) : Arnaud lived in Paris. He did there a one man show for 4 years : ” Et si c’était moi ?, the children’s play “La fée Mito”. He created a webserie : “Le métier de comédien pour les nuls” and the youtube channel “Jisamédia”. He had some parts in the French television.
