International Performance Art Salon proudly invites you to this workshop of performance development with our honoured guest Paula Jeanine Bennett.

Brooklyn-based multidisciplinary artist Paula Jeanine Bennett is an American original with a deep and soulful commitment to the artistic path. A composer, musician, lyricist and visual/movement artist, often doing projects that combine her skills, she has done creative projects in Indonesia, Italy, Morocco, India, Serbia and Finland.
Paula has been recipient of several grants (with choreographer Jacqulyn Buglisi) from the O’Donnell-Green Foundation, New Music USA and the Aaron Copeland
Foundation for their collaborative work, “Moss”. She has performed at Lincoln
Center, Carnegie Hall, Radio City Music Hall and the Brooklyn Academy of Music. As an installation artist, Paula has done site-specific work on Governor’s Island (NYC), Perry-Mansfield Arts Camp Performing Arts Camp (CO) and on the edge of Brooklyn at the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC).
Paula is the creator of the folk opera “A Village Of One”, the interfaith music project “Kloub Nssa” (Morocco), and the “Molecule” project, a collaboration with theater, music and movement artists throughout Indonesia. Her recent project, “Gate To Gate To Gate (G2G2G)”, is a song and movement cycle responding to the ancient gates of Fes, Morocco, created with the support of the American Center. She is on the staff of the Juilliard School, the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center and the Merce Cunningham Trust. Paula lives on the Brooklyn waterfront and can see the Statue of Liberty from her rooftop.
