On Saturday, September 21, in Bluzika, we are celebrating 30 years since the opening of the club St. James! The music will be handled by a combo consisting of: Tilted, Mr. Swagger & Pera Joe, Raw Hide and will prepare a real blues spectacle for you! 🎸

A little about the history of the club St. James:

Club St. James was in the Youth Center. It worked from September 1994 until the beginning of the bombing in March 1999. Every evening except Sundays, a live concert was held. The basic musical orientation was the blues and related forms.

Raw Hide always played on Fridays, Crazy Joe on Mondays, El Rey on Thursdays and the Roundhouse. In the 1996/97 season, Ana Popović’s group Hush played on Tuesdays. Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers, Rebel, Orthodox Celts, Di Luna Blues Band were often there, and there were about 60 foreign guest appearances in those short 5 seasons.

The appearance of Bob Geldof who, after his BG concert, jammed with the members of Raw Hide stands out here. As you can see, a lot of similarities with Blues and Beer, that’s why we will celebrate those three decades since the opening in BiP!

And yes… the author of the logo is RM Gera, our famous comic author! He and his trio Custom Blend played at the opening of St. James!
