53 years ago, on June 7, 1971, the Belgrade premiere of Feydeau’s “Bug in the Ear” was held. This graduation play by Ljubiša Ristić stayed in the repertoire of the Yugoslav Drama Theater for 44 years, was performed over 1600 times and was seen by over a million viewers. The new – old “Buba” is a cenotaph, memory and respect for everyone from the first division who are no longer there: for Bojan Stupica and Marjan Lovrić who are responsible and deserving that “Buba” was born; for Zorica Šumadinac, Slobodan Đurić, Moris Levo, Marko Todorović, Branko Milenković, Vladislav Lalicki, Duško Čeklić, Milan Gutović, Vlasta Velisavljević and Nikola Simić.

At the same time, this play is a thank you to all dozens of actors who played various roles in “Buba” for 44 years, jumped in, changed, rejoiced, got tired, ran away, returned and lived the life of “Buba in the ear”.
