️ 🏔️ 26th High-Mountain Course – PD “Železničar 1948”

High-altitude mountaineering focuses on conquering peaks above 2000 meters. Achieving this safely requires knowledge, experience, high-quality gear, and exceptional physical fitness. Climatic conditions at such heights differ greatly, and understanding how the human body reacts to altitude is essential. Comprehensive psychological and physical preparation is a must, especially for higher peaks.

If you are a mountain enthusiast or wish to enhance your winter hiking skills, don’t miss the opportunity to join the 26th High-Mountain Course, organized by PD “Železničar 1948.” This course, officially recognized by the Mountaineering Association of Serbia, is tailored for club members aiming to master safe navigation in high-altitude conditions.

✨ Why attend?
The course focuses on technical skills, including the use of ice axes, crampons, ropes, knots, GPS, and self-arrest techniques on snow. It also covers meteorology, topography, orientation, and bivouac camping.

Program highlights include theoretical sessions (Tuesday and Thursday evenings) and practical field exercises on weekends in the Avala area and nearby mountains. A final ascent will be organized on a peak above 2000 meters, depending on snow conditions. Difficulty level: T3 K3 B3 P3.

• Fee: 38,000 RSD (covers accommodation, instruction, guidebook, and technical gear, excluding carabiners and prusiks).
• Required gear: ice axe, crampons, helmet, harness, carabiners, prusik (group purchase available), sleeping bag, and camping mat.
