✍️ TWC in Serbia: FROM WITHIN THE ANCESTRAL WELL

Founded in Tallinn, resurrected in Prague, and unleashed in Helsinki, Tallinn Creative Writers (TCW) is a traveling writers’ society that intertwines folklore, mythology, environmental care, and radical collectivity. Through workshops, TCW fosters a network of socially engaged creativity, merging storytelling with cultural heritage to inspire profound and impactful artistic expressions.

Explore the Ancestral Well

The legacy of our ancestors forms a fundamental pillar of identity. From an early age, we absorb tales of long-forgotten times, and mythological narratives that shape our understanding of homeland, community, and ourselves. We encounter national myths and heroes, sing songs steeped in folk traditions, and partake in rituals rooted in Christian and pre-Christian customs.
Drawing from this rich and multifaceted ancestral well, we create, imagine, and narrate. But how can this heritage serve as a wellspring for creative practice?

This TCW workshop, enhanced by folk music, invites participants to:
